I’ve now been testing it for 1 full week and am sadly … well, I’m not sure disappointed is the right word - there’s a ton that’s amazing with the machine, but hear me out. And THEN came the M1 Max! I bought one immediately and it delivered a week ago. Now I was in love, because I could work in macOS, but with the speed of my custom PC. Then last year added a second drive and got a reliable Hackintosh system running. Hated Windows 10, but render times and performance were worth it. So a couple years back I built a PC and worked in Windows. I’ve been a hardcore Mac fan for 20 years and have really resisted switching to Windows, but I do a lot of AE compositing and animation, and over the past 5 years, it’s been harder and harder to justify staying with Apple.

Not to burst the M1 Max bubble, but I’ve had a different experience.
